Jayhawks Breaking Barriers Symposium 2017 (pre-register before 4/24)

Taking action on the gender leadership gap in STEM: A community discussion on the gender leadership gap in STEM, hosted by KU student trainees

Format: keynote speaker and panel discussion featuring stakeholders from academia, industry, and the scientific work force

Keynote speaker information:
Dr. Donna J. Dean
Focus: leadership, talent development, career enhancement, mentoring strategies
Background: 27-year career as a federal executive at the National Institutes of Health and the Food and Drug Administration / scientific research in biochemistry and developmental biology

Seminar participants will interact with business and community members across STEM fields and gain insight on closing the gender leadership gap.

The event is free and a light brunch will be provided. Register or access more information. The deadline for registration is April 24th.
