2021 Closing the Gap Fair
April 1, 2021 5:00 PM
On average, women must work through 2020 and into mid-April of 2021 to make the same amount of money men earned in 2019 alone. Statistically, women of color would have to work even longer: Black women until August, Indigenous women until September, and Latina women until November of the following year.
Join KU Career Services on Thursday, April 1 from 5-6:30 p.m. for Closing the Gap. This event is designed to raise awareness about the gender wage divide and empower attendees of all genders to make a change. The event will begin with a panel discussion surrounding the gender wage gap, then panelists will facilitate deeper discussions in breakout rooms on the following topics:
- Tips for Salary Negotiations
- How to Initiate Crucial Conversations
- How to Approach Systemic Change
