How to Create Experience from No Experience on a Resume  (4:00 pm)   

Are you lacking professional experience on your resume and don’t know how to demonstrate your job skills to future employers?  Join members of the career coaching staff to discuss how to create experience using your coursework, projects, and volunteer experiences.  We will discuss how to effectively communicate your skills on a professional resume.  Be sure to download the “No Experience, No Problem” handout that we will be using during the workshop.

What Makes a Resume Stand Out?  Tips, Techniques, and Advice from Industry Experts  (6:00 pm)   

Join human resource professionals (those responsible for reviewing resumes and making hiring decisions) as they discuss what makes a resume stand out including style and format.  This panels also includes a Q&A session so bring all your questions.

Five Easy Steps to a Successful Informational Interview (4:00 pm) 

Informational interviews are one of the best ways to explore a job, career, or company while building professional networks that can open doors to new opportunities.  This workshop will explore easy networking resources, tips for setting up the interview, and how to effectively conduct your interview  

Acing the Interview ( 6:00 pm) 

Want to ace your next interview and land that first job?  Professional industry experts will discuss tips and tricks for making a great first impression, how to answer those tough interview questions, and the dos and don’ts during an interview.  Bring your questions, this will be a great discussion.   

Mock Interview (January 24 – February 2022) 

  • Practice your interviewing skills with actual employer.
